Starting cost for color other than standard
One-time starting cost applied when ordering a Smart Storing Compact Storage Unit or accessory in a custom RAL colour other than the standard blue (RAL 5010) or grey (RAL 7024). This charge covers the paint setup and changeover required for non-standard finishes.
Description
When specifying a Compact Storage Unit, CSU Light, or any compatible accessory in a custom RAL colour, a one-time starting cost applies per order. Smart Storing offers the full RAL colour spectrum, enabling facilities to match storage units to corporate branding, safety colour coding, or cleanroom standards. The standard colours are blue RAL 5010 for frames and grey RAL 7024 for shelf fronts. Any other RAL colour can be specified at the time of order, subject to this setup charge and a slightly extended lead time.
The custom colour option applies to frames, steel cladding, shelf fronts, and doors. It is particularly popular among automotive OEMs and pharmaceutical facilities that require colour-coded storage zones. The powder-coated finish provides the same durability and corrosion resistance as the standard palette.
